John Jones (born December 12, 1957) is a Grammy-winning record producer, musician, songwriter, audio engineer, and programmer, best known for his work on Duran Duran's Wedding Album, and with Celine Dion, Dan Hill, Fleetwood Mac, Steve Ferrone, Alan Frew, Dee Long, and Sir George Martin, spending his working life in; Toronto, Canada; London, England; and Los Angeles, California. ==Background== John Idris Jones is of Welsh descent. He was born in Wormwood Scrubs, Hammersmith, London, England, and has lived in United Kingdom, Mona, Jamaica, Canada, and the U.S.A.. He performed multiple instruments in local Canadian bands, writing many songs, until getting the chance to record in Toronto Sound studio, the home of Rush producer Terry Brown. It was there that John met longtime partner Dee Long of Klaatu. Later he became keyboard/guitarist/vocalist for the CBS Canada pop group Bond, and toured with the Canadian bands;, "Funn", "Canada", and Gary O's; "Kid Rainbow". A stint as a songwriter for ATV Music with Val Azzoli led to recording many demos at Brentcliffe, Masters Workshop, The Carriage House, and Shabby Road studios, after the closing of Toronto Sound.
